Last Friday the new cd hit the shops. The first thing that captured us was the nicely made digipack cover. The concert itself, what else had we expected, sounds great featuring the rare song ‘Yellow Leaves’ or as in Katie’s original language ‘Kviteli Potlebi’. This song was performed by her for the first time in 2007 for the BBC World Service in honour of their 75th anniversary. After the first 3 songs, under which is this song mentioned above, he band breakes loose the same way as we all know from the concerts we all did see. They take us after that on a 16 track journey trough ‘Ghost Town’ to ‘Perfect Circle’ with a fine guitar and pianosolo in it. Then a.o ‘Toy Collection’ via ‘Kozmic Blues’ to end with the always beautiful ‘I Cried For You’. Glad to hear that unlike the most official live cd’s this time the audience as not been edited out. Therefore the whole cd captures the real live feeling as we experienced all at her concerts. For those who can’t get enough of it there is also a 2 lp set released which has the extra tracks: Thank You stars – Two Bare Feet and Spellbound. And in case you don’t own a turntable there is also the possibility of downloading these extra tracks from iTunes. Ruud
